. . . I have momentarily abandoned my obsession with Charley Harper (2015 and 2016) and instead taken my inspiration from Samantha Cotterill's Fanciful Felties.
I had so much fun making this - like, seriously. Tragic I know, but I don't get out much these days.
I bought the book some years ago now but wasn't inspired at the time because the author machine sews her dolls and I knew I wouldn't be capable of getting that same finish if I tried it on a machine. However, while searching for this year's diary cover inspiration I figured I'd give it a crack, using chain stitch instead. And it worked. And the Resting Bitchface Ladies were born - my name, not Samantha's (obviously) - sorry Samantha for any embarrassment caused.

For a woman who has resting bitchface herself, I feel this is an entirely appropriate choice to adorn my diary this year . . .
